Project Cost Accountant

Pay: $65k-$75k/yr

Hours: Monday- Friday 8AM-5PM

Job Description:

Duties & Responsibilities: Plans and collects data to determine costs of business activity such as raw purchases, Inventory, and Labor. Analyzes data obtained and records results. Analyzes changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on costs. Analyzes actual manufacturing costs and prepares periodic report comparing standard costs to actual production costs. Records cost information for use in controlling expenditures. Analyzes audits of costs and prepares reports. Makes estimates of new efficiencies in new product layouts. Provides management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services. Develops and installs cost accounting system. Appraises and evaluates real property or equipment for sale, acquisition, or tax purposes.

Education & Requirements:  Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance is required. Three years of Cost accounting experience required.  Excellent personal computer skills required. Prior use of electronic accounting systems required; experience with Made2Manage preferred. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, is required.
