Position Overview
The Production Worker III (Machine Operator) is responsible for operating, monitoring, and adjusting production equipment within a blow molding manufacturing environment. This Production Worker III (Machine Operator) role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain production efficiency while meeting safety and quality standards.
Required Experience & Skills
• Minimum 1+ year of manufacturing experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
• Ability to operate and understand production machinery and control systems
• Knowledge of Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures (certification required)
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
• Strong communication, teamwork, and time management skills
• High School Diploma or equivalent
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The Production Worker III (Machine Operator) role includes:
• Operate and monitor production equipment, including starting/stopping machines and clearing jams
• Adjust machine settings and perform minor troubleshooting and process improvements
• Record and track machine performance, downtime, and production data
• Perform process checks and inspections to ensure product quality
• Replace materials and assist with color and material changes
• Operate shredders and pelletizers to recycle scrap materials
• Classify, weigh, and label processed scrap materials
• Provide coverage for production lines during breaks and shift transitions
• Perform minor preventative maintenance (filters, lubrication, screen packs)
• Assist with sorting and reworking non-conforming products
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace following 5S standards
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Preferred Experience
• Experience in blow molding or plastic manufacturing environments
• Forklift operation experience (preferred)
• Experience with process control and production data tracking
Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
• Frequent lifting, bending, and material handling
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise and moving equipment
