Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead operations within a heat treat manufacturing facility in Tulsa. The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production, managing personnel, ensuring orders are processed per specifications, and maximizing throughput while maintaining strong safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
This role requires strong leadership, manufacturing experience, and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining excellent customer communication.
What the Production Supervisor Will Be Doing
• Supervise and manage manufacturing personnel in the heat treat facility
• Ensure all shop orders are processed strictly according to work order recipes
• Execute shop schedules as defined by the Plant Manager
• Monitor orders in process to maximize throughput and efficiency
• Improve workflow and material handling to reduce waste and increase productivity
• Maintain strong process quality and adherence to specifications
• Manage organization and housekeeping using structured 5S practices
• Ensure all production items have designated locations and purposes
• Participate in and support bi-weekly housekeeping and process audits
• Communicate professionally with internal teams and customers, including handling escalated concerns calmly and effectively
Required Qualifications for the Production Supervisor
• 5+ years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
• Proven leadership and team management skills
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with mechanical equipment
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Comfortable working under pressure and handling customer-facing situations
• Experience using Microsoft Office and database systems preferred
• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or alternate shifts as required
Education Requirements:
• College or technical degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred
• OR high school diploma/GED with 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience
Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in extreme high and low temperatures
• Frequent standing for long periods
• Regular use of hands, arms, and fine motor skills
• Ability to meet vision requirements including close, distance, and peripheral vision
