Position Overview

The Production Lead is responsible for overseeing daily production activities while ensuring workflow efficiency, safety compliance, and quality standards across the manufacturing floor. This Production Lead role supports production teams by coordinating operations, mentoring employees, and maintaining consistent output in a fast-paced industrial environment.

The ideal Production Lead is a hands-on leader who enjoys supporting team members, solving problems, and ensuring operations run smoothly across multiple production areas.

Required Experience & Skills

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 2+ years of manufacturing experience required (leadership experience preferred)
• Forklift experience required (certification provided if needed)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead and support team members to achieve production, quality, and scheduling goals
• Coordinate daily production schedules and employee rotations to maintain workflow efficiency
• Safely monitor and operate equipment while following Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures
• Step in across production areas when needed to maintain continuous operations
• Train and mentor new employees while encouraging skill development and teamwork
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment
• Promote team collaboration and positive leadership practices
• Serve as backup to the Production Supervisor when required

Preferred Experience

• Additional technical training or leadership development is a plus
