Position Overview

Stand-By Personnel is seeking a dedicated Production Assembler for an immediate temp-to-hire opportunity. The ideal candidate will have a clean background, pass a pre-employment drug screen, and demonstrate a strong ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. We are looking for candidates with solid mechanical knowledge and prior assembly experience, preferably in furniture or cabinet manufacturing. A stable work history and proven experience in assembly processes are required.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble products according to specifications and detailed work instructions.

• Efficiently use hand and power tools to complete assembly tasks.

• Operate machinery on the assembly line while following safety protocols.

• Conduct quality checks to ensure assembled products meet established standards.

• Collaborate with team members to enhance workflow and production efficiency.

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

• Assist in training new employees on assembly techniques and safety practices.

• Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment as necessary.

Requirements

• Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or factory setting is required.

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.

• Skills:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with blueprints and technical documents.

  • Proficiency in using hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, drills) for assembly tasks.

  • Ability to maintain a safe work environment and adhere to safety protocols, including wearing protective gear.

  • Experience in manually packaging ready-to-assemble products and stacking items up to five feet high.

  • Skilled in quality assurance, ensuring defect-free products that are correctly packed and stacked on pallets.

• Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, bend, push, pull, stoop, crouch, reach, and extend arms, wrists, and fingers constantly.

  • Must be able to stand, walk, and lift for 10+ hours per day.

  • Experience using manual pallet jacks and assembly equipment.

• Work Environment:

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced assembly line environment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing production needs and schedules.
