Position Overview

We are seeking experienced and reliable candidates for a Processing Operator position in Joplin. The Processing Operator role is a multi-purpose manufacturing position that may rotate between different production areas once properly trained.

The Processing Operator will support operations in milling, mixing, die roll, and oven processing while maintaining strict quality, safety, and production standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The Processing Operator role includes:

Mill & Mixing / Die Roll

• Batch commodities and/or meat slurry into accurate mixed batches
• Operate hammer mill, mixing, and screening systems
• Perform preventative maintenance and assist with equipment improvements
• Conduct quality checks and complete documentation accurately
• Perform QC tasks including metal checks, date code inspections, and logs
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Operate processing equipment efficiently and safely

Oven Operations

• Operate oven/dryer equipment safely and efficiently
• Complete reports accurately and on time
• Work with QA to ensure product meets specifications
• Monitor equipment performance and report downtime immediately
• Meet or exceed plant productivity goals

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of production experience required
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Reliable transportation and stable work history
• Ability to work at elevated heights and/or confined spaces
• Ability to read and execute daily production schedules
• Strong understanding of GMP, GHOP, HACCP, SPC, and food safety practices
• Ability to work in hot, cold, dusty, and chemical environments
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Must wear required PPE (hair net, bump cap, ear plugs, safety shoes, uniform)
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen
