Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Plate Roller to operate and maintain plate rolling machines used to shape steel and other metal plates into cylindrical, conical, or curved forms. This Plate Roller role supports fabrication needs across construction, oil and gas, aerospace, and manufacturing environments while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.

What the Plate Roller Will Be Doing

• Operate overhead cranes to load and unload heavy steel plates
• Set up and run CNC or hydraulic plate rolling machines
• Adjust roll positions based on material thickness and required radii
• Monitor rolling processes to ensure product quality, flatness, and dimensional accuracy
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Detect and report defects or irregularities to supervisors
• Document production details as required
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and equipment
• Follow all OSHA and company safety protocols

Required Qualifications for the Plate Roller

• Previous brake press or plate rolling experience
• 2+ years of experience in steel fabrication
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Physical ability to handle heavy materials safely
• Team-oriented mindset with a strong commitment to safety
