Metal Saw Operator

Pay: $16/hr.

Hours: Monday- Friday 7AM-3:45PM

Job Description:

Must know how to cut raw material on a saw (Cosen Vertical Bandsaw) to print. Must be able to read blueprints, dial calipers, micrometers, have excellent math skills, be able to operate forklift, steel toed boots/shoes.

RESPONSIBILITES: Reads and interprets basic blueprints. Unload raw materials from semi-trucks and store material. Maintains equipment and ensures work area is always clean and safe. Performs basic preventative maintenance on saw equipment. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Operates forklift.

KNOWLEDGE & ABILITES REQUIRED: Trade tools, equipment, materials, tape measure, methods and techniques used in safe band saw operation. Lock-out / Tag out procedures. Mechanically inclined. Prioritize, schedule, and review work. Effectively and safely operate a variety of assigned tools and equipment. Interpret blueprints. Understand and follow oral and written directions, communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Work independently and with little direction.
