Position Overview

The Fabrication Operator is responsible for operating metal fabrication machinery, deburr equipment, and press brakes, as well as using hand and power tools to fabricate metal parts and components. This position requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate metal fabrication machinery to cut, bend, and shape metal parts and components.
  • Use deburr equipment to remove sharp edges and burrs from metal parts.
  • Operate press brakes to bend and shape metal parts and components.
  • Utilize hand and power tools to fabricate metal parts and components.
  • Interpret technical documents such as diagrams, schematics, and blueprints to complete tasks accurately.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Adhere to all company and industry safety requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and solve problems effectively as they arise.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Proven work experience operating metal fabrication machinery.
  • Experience with deburr equipment and press brakes.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to lift at least 50 lbs as needed.
  • Willingness to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods.
