Position Overview

The Mechanical Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling air-cooled heat exchangers and related components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This Mechanical Assembly Technician role requires working with hand tools, blueprints, and shop equipment to build heat exchange units used in industrial applications.

The ideal Mechanical Assembly Technician has strong mechanical aptitude, experience with assembly processes, and the ability to read measuring tools and technical drawings while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 1 year of mechanical or manufacturing assembly experience
• Strong proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices
• Ability to read tape measures accurately
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and assembly instructions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime as needed

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assemble air-cooled heat exchangers and related components
• Construct condensers, boxes, and coils used in heat and air exchange units
• Perform tube pushing and mechanical assembly tasks
• Operate overhead cranes, plasma cutters, grinders, and forklifts when required
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings during assembly processes
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment
• Follow all company safety policies and manufacturing procedures

Preferred Experience

• Experience operating forklifts or overhead cranes preferred
• Prior experience in heat exchanger, fabrication, or heavy assembly environments is a plus
