Mechanical Assembly Technician

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our team. This position involves assembling machines from the ground up, working with mechanical and hydraulic components, and interpreting electrical wiring, schematics, and blueprints. Additionally, technicians may perform maintenance and repairs on customer or distributor products as needed. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

·         Assemble mechanical and hydraulic systems, including diesel engines, pumps, and hoses.

·         Perform basic electrical wiring and interpret schematics and blueprints.

·         Troubleshoot and repair equipment returned by customers or distributors.

·         Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient and accurate assembly.

·         Travel domestically as needed for on-site equipment setup, repairs, and troubleshooting.

Job Requirements

·         Two years of technical or vocational education in a related field preferred.

·         Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics accurately.

·         Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic assembly.

·         Experience in automotive, engine rebuilding, and mechanical assembly.

·         Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

·         Strong work ethic with excellent team communication skills.

·         Must own or be willing to purchase a minimum set of tools and a locking toolbox, including:

o    Wrenches

o    Hex/Allen sets

o    Socket sets

o    Hammers

o    Pliers

o    Screwdrivers

o    Wire crimpers/strippers

o    Vice grips

Physical Requirements

·         Must be able to stand, bend, squat, and climb for 95% of the shift while assembling and inspecting parts.

·         Frequent climbing into or onto machines is required for assembly and inspections.

·         Ability to lift and move parts up to 50 lbs.

·         Use of lifting devices is encouraged when possible, though manual handling may be required in confined spaces.
