Mechanic
Pay: $20/hour
Location: Broken Arrow, OK
Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (hours may vary due to company needs)

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic for a 6-month contract opportunity in Broken Arrow. This position involves planning, fabricating, assembling, installing, and repairing sheet metal parts, equipment, and products. The Mechanic must have experience reading blueprints and operating fabrication machines to cut, bend, form, and assemble sheet metal components to specification.

Key Responsibilities for the Mechanic:

• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and product specifications to determine fabrication methods and sequences.
• Lay out and mark dimensions on material using templates and reference lines.
• Operate fabricating machines such as shears, brakes, presses, forming rolls, and routers.
• Shape metal over anvils, blocks, or forms; trim, file, grind, buff, and smooth surfaces.
• Weld, solder, bolt, rivet, screw, clip, caulk, or bond component parts for assembly.
• Install assemblies in supportive frameworks and inspect work for conformance to specifications.
• Interact cooperatively with other employees and departments, contributing to team goals and problem-solving.
• Maintain security and accuracy of FSI materials and projects.
• Adhere to work schedules, ensuring prompt and regular attendance.

Skills & Requirements:

• Ability to calculate figures such as proportions, percentages, and volume; apply basic algebra.
• Problem-solving skills to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally, 25 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds regularly.
• Must have peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Noise level in work environment is moderate.
