Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable Material Handler / Parts Mover to support an industrial fabrication operation in Sand Springs. The Material Handler / Parts Mover is responsible for safely moving, staging, and identifying industrial materials and fabricated components throughout the shop and yard.

This Material Handler / Parts Mover role is ideal for candidates with experience working in fabrication shops, pipe yards, or steel manufacturing environments.

Required Experience & Skills

• Prior experience in an industrial fabrication, pipe shop, or steel shop environment
• Ability to identify industrial components such as valves, flanges, pipe, and structural steel
• Forklift experience required (certification preferred but not required)
• Experience with overhead cranes or willingness to be trained
• Ability to read tags, part numbers, and basic shop documentation
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The Material Handler / Parts Mover role includes:

• Move, stage, and organize materials and fabricated parts throughout the shop and yard
• Identify industrial components including valves, flanges, piping, and structural steel
• Transport materials to and from fabrication, welding, and assembly areas
• Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers
• Operate material handling equipment including forklifts and overhead cranes
• Assist with inventory organization and material tracking
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Perform both indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (heavier items moved with equipment)
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work on feet for extended periods
• Comfortable working in industrial indoor and outdoor environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a pipe fabrication or industrial manufacturing facility
• Familiarity with rigging practices and load balancing
• Basic understanding of shop flow and material staging
