Position Overview

The Material Handler supports warehouse operations by assisting with shipping, receiving, inventory tracking, and the movement of industrial materials. This Material Handler role includes operating forklifts, handling steel and poly drums, and performing data entry related to inventory and shipping documentation. The ideal Material Handler is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Required Experience & Skills

• Forklift operating experience required
• Strong data entry and basic computer skills
• Ability to quickly learn warehouse systems and procedures
• Comfortable handling and moving steel and poly drums regularly
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform data entry related to shipping, receiving, and inventory tracking
• Load and unload trucks using forklifts and manual material handling when necessary
• Handle steel and poly drums during shipping and receiving operations
• Prepare and verify orders for outbound shipments
• Inspect incoming materials and confirm accuracy of deliveries
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
• Follow all company safety procedures and warehouse guidelines
• Assist with general warehouse duties and material handling tasks

Preferred Education

• Previous warehouse experience required
• Shipping and receiving experience preferred
• Ability to perform physically demanding work including lifting and moving heavy materials
