Job Title: Material Handler
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Location: Tulsa, OK
Pay: $17.00+/hour
Shift: Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (OT as needed; hours may vary based on company needs)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Material Handler to support all yard operations and heavy equipment. This position includes maneuvering company products around the yard and assisting with the loading and offloading of trucks.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain a forklift truck safely and efficiently
• Perform rigging tasks including use of hand signals, attaching chains/shackles, and guiding cranes/forklifts
• Operate re-spool equipment
• Deliver materials throughout the yard as directed by supervisor or procedures
• Maintain and organize raw and finished goods inventory
• Load and unload trucks and verify shipments match COE requirements
• Complete and maintain truck inspection records
• Train new hires in standard procedures
• Perform pre-shift forklift inspections
• Move materials by hand or forklift to/from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves
• Empty chip bins and trash containers as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of forklift experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Must be dependable with strong attendance record
• Detail-oriented and highly organized
• Ability to foster a safe work environment
• Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions and resolve routine problems
• Willingness to work overtime and rotating shifts when required

Physical Requirements:

• Occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Must be able to lift/move up to 50 lbs frequently
• Vision requirements: close, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts and occasional hot, cold, wet, and humid conditions
• Work environment is typically loud
