Job Title: Material Handler
Pay: $20–$23/hour
Shift: 5pm-330am Mon-Thurs and 5p-130am Fri
Location: Port of Catoosa
Position Type: Temp to Hire

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Material Handler to support daily warehouse and production operations. This role requires the operation of various types of equipment and material handling tools including forklifts, scissor lifts, jib cranes, and bridge cranes.

Primary Responsibilities:

·         Safely operate forklifts of various sizes and types.

·         Operate jib cranes and bridge cranes to lift and move materials.

·         Professionally communicate with truck drivers and delivery personnel.

·         Perform daily inspections of equipment and document findings.

·         Appropriately rig loads and inspect rigging prior to lifting.

·         Assess and determine best processes for moving raw or finished materials.

·         Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

·         Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications & Requirements:

·         High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

·         6 months to 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment as a material handler.

·         Valid certifications for forklift, crane, and other lifting devices.

·         Strong attention to detail with excellent spatial awareness.

·         Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.

·         Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing physical tasks including standing, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, and balancing.

·         Effective communication and teamwork skills.

·         Commitment to quality, safety, and productivity.
