Material Handler – Shipping & Receiving

·         Location: Tulsa, OK

·         Pay: $18.50–$19.50 per hour (DOE)

·         Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking a Material Handler – Shipping & Receiving to join our team in a climate-controlled facility specializing in tight tolerance sheet metal products. This role involves efficiently performing stock-keeping functions, including loading and unloading parts, inventory management, packaging, assembly, and order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will have warehouse experience, strong math skills, and a proactive approach to teamwork.

Essential Functions

·         Perform stock-keeping functions for incoming goods, packaging, and inventory counting.

·         Monitor picking tickets from the printer to ensure timely order fulfillment.

·         Unpack and verify customer-returned goods for accuracy.

·         Support ongoing processes and operations in shipping and receiving.

·         Conduct weekly cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory.

·         Unpack, count, and verify all incoming deliveries.

·         Assist in loading and unloading goods safely and efficiently.

Job Requirements

·         Minimum two years of proven forklift experience.

·         Familiarity with basic warehouse and inventory systems with proven work experience.

·         Strong math skills for quick and accurate calculations.

·         Proficiency in computer usage for inventory and order tracking.

·         Team-oriented and self-sufficient, with the ability to work independently.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

This position is classified as safety-sensitive, as it involves tasks that may impact the safety and health of the employee or others. Responsibilities include:

·         Handling, packaging, processing, storage, and transport of hazardous materials.

·         Operating forklifts, vehicles, equipment, machinery, or power tools.

·         Repairing, maintaining, or monitoring machinery where malfunctions could result in injury or property damage.

·         Working with critical infrastructure, including utilities, power generation, or regulated materials.

Additional physical requirements:

·         Standing, bending, squatting, and climbing for 95% of the shift while performing material handling tasks.

·         Lifting parts up to 50 lbs., sometimes carrying them 10–15 feet without material handling devices due to confined spaces.

·         Pushing, pulling, and securing materials in place manually when necessary.
