Material Handler

Location: Tulsa, OK
Pay Rate: $19/hour
Shift: Friday - Sunday, 5:00 AM - 5:30 PM (Training on Monday - Friday Day Shift)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our team in Tulsa, OK. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely loading, unloading, and moving materials within a manufacturing or industrial setting. This role requires operating forklifts and hoists, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

·         Complete a pre-flight forklift inspection before each shift.

·         Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves using both hand labor and forklift operation.

·         Operate industrial forklifts and electric hoists to transport materials and products.

·         Regularly empty chip bins and trash containers to maintain a clean work environment.

·         Perform other duties as assigned to support production and warehouse operations.

Qualifications & Skills

·         Minimum of 2 years of proven forklift experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

·         Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

·         Dependable with excellent attendance record.

·         Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

·         Ability to foster and maintain a safe working environment.

·         Proficiency in basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

·         Ability to follow detailed written and oral instructions and problem-solve in standardized situations.

·         Willingness to work overtime and shift work as needed.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

·         Occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

·         Frequently required to lift and move up to 50 lbs.

·         Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

·         Exposure to moving mechanical parts and occasionally to hot, cold, wet, and humid conditions.

·         Loud work environment due to machinery and industrial operations.
