Manufacturing Inspector/Packer

Location: Sand Springs, OK
Pay: $17 - $18 per hour (based on experience)
Hours: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Inspector/Packer to join our team in Sand Springs, OK. This position involves inspecting and packaging heat-forged rail track spikes, ensuring they meet both customer and industry specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs., and a willingness to rotate between inspection and packaging duties on a formal schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Product Inspection:

·         Visually examine forged rail track spikes for surface defects, excessive scale, laps, discoloration, cracks, or pits.

·         Verify product dimensions and head shape using preset measuring instruments.

·         Monitor product movement along the conveyor to prevent or address jamming.

Packaging & Production Support:

·         Operate an automated filler, adjusting load scales to ensure correct weight in each container.

·         Manually position and transfer filled containers to pallets.

·         Label containers with product information and maintain accurate production reports.

Material Handling & Equipment Operation:

·         Occasionally operate a forklift to transfer palletized kegs to dock staging areas, shrink wrap stations, or temporary inventory storage.

·         Ensure smooth workflow to prevent production delays.

Qualifications & Requirements

·         Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

·         Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.

·         Strong attention to detail with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

·         Ability to perform repetitive tasks requiring visual concentration on product shape, size, and appearance.

·         Willingness to rotate between inspection and packaging duties as scheduled.

·         Forklift experience is a plus but not required.
