Position Overview

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, planning, and supporting manufacturing processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and product quality. This Manufacturing Engineer role plays a key part in quoting, process planning, and ensuring that all components and assemblies meet customer specifications while maintaining on-time delivery and profitability.

Required Experience & Skills

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Experience with CAD software (CATIA, SolidWorks, or similar)
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and inspection methods
• Ability to estimate manufacturing time, inspection requirements, and costs
• Strong communication skills across multiple departments and with external partners
• Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment (3+ years preferred)
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The Manufacturing Engineer role includes:

• Develop and communicate manufacturing and inspection processes for each job
• Prepare accurate quotes for components and assemblies based on customer specifications
• Interpret customer models, CATIA files, and technical drawings
• Plan production workflows to ensure first-time product conformity
• Estimate manufacturing, inspection, and outsourced processing costs
• Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to improve processes and efficiency
• Troubleshoot specification and production issues with customers and internal teams
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure outsourced components meet requirements
• Support production teams with process improvements and problem resolution
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards

Preferred Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (preferred)
• Experience in estimating, process engineering, or manufacturing engineering roles
• Familiarity with aerospace or precision manufacturing environments

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
• Willingness to assist on the production floor when troubleshooting processes
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
