Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Planner with a strong background in machining and production workflows. The Manufacturing Planner will play a critical role in coordinating production schedules, materials, and labor to ensure projects move efficiently through each stage of the manufacturing process. This position requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment and understands how to route complex parts from blueprint to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and manage daily and long-term production schedules
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and parts lists
• Route parts into the manufacturing process efficiently
• Coordinate machining and assembly workflows
• Analyze forecasts and plan material/labor needs accordingly
• Monitor and optimize workflow, productivity, and efficiency
• Ensure timely and accurate execution of production plans
• Collaborate with other departments to minimize downtime and waste
• Track progress, identify issues, and adjust schedules as needed
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills

• 3–5 years of planning experience in a manufacturing or machining environment
• Strong understanding of shop floor processes and equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints
• Knowledge of engineering and quality standards
• Proficient in Excel and familiar with project management tools
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field

Physical & Work Environment

• Ability to move throughout the facility, including stairs
• Lift up to 25 lbs as needed
• Must be able to visually inspect documents and specs for accuracy

Important Note

This is not a cycle counting or basic scheduling role. We are looking for a hands-on Manufacturing Planner who can take a blueprint, identify each component, and effectively route it through the machining and assembly process from start to finish.
