Maintenance Technician

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support operations at our Claremore service-center facility. This Maintenance Technician role will work closely with the current Maintenance Manager and is designed as a long-term succession opportunity, with the potential to step into greater leadership responsibility over the next two years.
The ideal candidate will bring strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, responsiveness to production needs, and the ability to collaborate effectively with operations, purchasing, and outside vendors.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues
Maintain CNC machines and industrial saws (preferred)
Service and maintain forklifts, overhead cranes, and material-handling equipment
Support plant safety standards and ensure equipment compliance
Operations Support
Work closely with the Operations team to minimize downtime
Demonstrate strong service orientation and teamwork
Maintain awareness of shop-floor priorities and urgent issues
Project & Vendor Coordination
Request and review RFQs for parts and services
Assist with vendor selection, scheduling, and follow-up
Support maintenance projects and equipment upgrades
Track maintenance records and assist with planning
Succession Development
Learn plant systems, maintenance planning, and budgeting
Prepare to assume expanded responsibilities as part of leadership transition
Required Qualifications
Proven experience in industrial machine maintenance (mechanical and electrical)
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Experience maintaining forklifts, cranes, or similar equipment
Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced production environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with CNC machines and industrial saws
Technical or vocational education in maintenance or electrical systems
Experience with RFQs, vendor coordination, and cost comparisons
Project management experience in maintenance or equipment upgrades
