Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Maintenance Technician to oversee daily maintenance operations in a large-scale manufacturing environment. The Maintenance Technician will ensure all HVAC, mechanical, and production systems are operating safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and regulatory standards. This position is ideal for a mechanically skilled professional with leadership potential and a strong understanding of preventive maintenance and system reliability.

Key Responsibilities

·         Lead and supervise HVAC and mechanical maintenance activities.

·         Develop and execute preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for HVAC systems, machinery, and facility equipment.

·         Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues to minimize downtime.

·         Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and materials; approve necessary purchase orders.

·         Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and safety regulations.

·         Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and service history.

·         Train and mentor maintenance personnel in technical and safety procedures.

·         Manage relationships with outside vendors and contractors.

·         Support department budgeting, reporting, and KPI tracking.

·         Stay current with technological advancements and maintenance best practices.

Qualifications

·         Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC or mechanical maintenance.

·         At least 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience.

·         HVAC Journeyman or Master License preferred.

·         Strong understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical systems.

·         Experience with CMMS software and maintenance documentation.

·         Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

·         Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

·         Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with regulatory standards.

Preferred Competencies

·         Technical Mastery: Expert knowledge of HVAC diagnostics and system operation.

·         Leadership & Mentorship: Ability to guide and motivate maintenance teams.

·         Preventive Maintenance: Skilled in predictive maintenance planning.

·         Safety Management: Strong grasp of OSHA and EPA standards.

·         Operational Planning: Experience managing budgets and departmental KPIs.
