Pay: $22.00–$28.00/hour DOE (includes shift differential)
Hours:

  • 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM–12:00 AM with overtime as needed
  • 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM–7:00 AM with overtime as needed

Job Description

We are seeking skilled and motivated Maintenance Technicians to join our team in Owasso, Oklahoma. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring efficient operation, timely repairs, and preventative maintenance of machinery and equipment in a fast-paced production environment. This role requires expertise in diagnosing and addressing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues while collaborating with production staff to address equipment needs promptly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment.
  • Inspect equipment to identify potential issues and perform necessary adjustments or repairs.
  • Maintain detailed maintenance records and prepare reports on equipment performance.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems in processing equipment.
  • Replace defective parts, motors, and control systems as needed.
  • Collaborate with production staff to address equipment malfunctions promptly.
  • Assist in the installation, commissioning, and modification of new and existing equipment to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards for all installations and modifications.
  • Monitor inventory levels of maintenance supplies and parts; order and restock as needed.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and update records accordingly.
  • Identify opportunities for improving equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest process enhancements.
  • Serve as a backup Refrigeration Technician, performing associated tasks when needed.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including troubleshooting and repair techniques.
  • Proficiency in PLCs, frequency controls, direct current devices, temperature controls, and transducers.
  • Experience with high voltage AC (480V, 220V, 120V), low control voltage AC (24V, 12V, 5V), multi-volts AC/DC, and multi-amps AC/DC.
  • Knowledge of production equipment, meat processing, and quality standards preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English; knowledge of Spanish is helpful but not required.
