Maintenance Technician – Galvanizing Plant
Pay: $22-$23/hour
Hours: 3:00 PM - 1:00 AM, Monday-Saturday
Location: Tulsa, OK
Duration: Temp-to-Hire

All candidates MUST have prior galvanizing maintenance experience to be considered. 

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team at a galvanizing plant. This role is critical in ensuring the continuous operation and reliability of plant equipment through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, as well as experience addressing the unique demands of a galvanizing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment such as cranes, kettles, conveyors, and dip tanks.
• Preventive Maintenance: Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety, environmental, and operational standards.
• Record Keeping: Maintain detailed logs of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
• Emergency Repairs: Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production delays.
• Collaboration: Partner with the operations team to identify and resolve potential equipment issues.
• Upgrades: Recommend and assist in implementing equipment upgrades and improvements.

Qualifications

• Education: Technical certification or associate degree preferred.
• Experience:
  • 2-5 years of maintenance experience in an industrial setting.
  • Prior experience in galvanizing, metal fabrication, or similar industries is required.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
• Safety Awareness: Thorough understanding of OSHA safety standards and best practices in industrial environments.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
• Comfortable working in high-temperature and physically demanding environments.
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights as needed.
