Position: Maintenance Technician

• Pay: $22-$23 per hour
• Hours: 3:00 PM - 1:00 AM, Monday - Saturday
• Location: Tulsa, OK
• Duration: Temp-to-Hire

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team at a galvanizing plant. The ideal candidate will ensure the continuous operation and reliability of plant equipment through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. This role requires expertise in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, along with experience in the unique demands of a galvanizing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plant equipment, including cranes, kettles, conveyors, and dip tanks.
• Preventive Maintenance: Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and maintain efficiency.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair issues in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to safety, environmental, and operational standards.
• Record Keeping: Document maintenance activities and maintain logs to track repairs and inspections.
• Emergency Repairs: Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production disruption.
• Collaboration: Work with the operations team to identify and resolve potential equipment issues.
• Upgrades: Recommend and assist with equipment improvements and upgrades.

Qualifications

• Education: Technical certification or associate degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 2-5 years of maintenance experience in an industrial setting, ideally in galvanizing, metal fabrication, or a similar industry.
• Technical Skills:
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Experience with welding and fabrication is a plus.
• Safety Awareness: Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards and best practices in industrial environments.
• Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
  • Comfortable working in high-temperature and physically demanding environments.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights when necessary.
