Shift: 1st Shift | Monday – Friday | 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Overtime as needed)
Pay: $25.00 – $30.00/hour DOE + Shift Differential

Position Overview:

Stand-By Personnel is hiring a highly skilled Maintenance Mechanic for a reputable food manufacturing facility in Owasso. This position is ideal for candidates with a solid background in mechanical maintenance, particularly in meat processing or food manufacturing environments. The selected individual will play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability and minimizing downtime through preventative maintenance and rapid troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on plant equipment such as conveyors, grinders, slicers, packaging machines, refrigeration units, and other processing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues to maintain continuous production.
  • Inspect and diagnose mechanical problems, replacing faulty components to maintain equipment efficiency.
  • Conduct regular maintenance on refrigeration and HVAC systems to ensure consistent temperature control and compliance with food safety standards.
  • Ensure all work adheres to OSHA, USDA, and FDA regulations.
  • Assist in the installation, upgrade, and modification of production equipment.
  • Accurately document all maintenance activities, including work orders, repair history, and inventory tracking.
  • Collaborate with production and QA departments to identify and resolve equipment-related issues that impact product quality.
  • Train production staff on basic equipment use and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training is preferred.
  • 3–5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a food manufacturing or meat processing environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
  • Experience with electrical systems, PLCs, and automation preferred.
  • Knowledge of sanitation standards and food safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, and working in cold/humid environments.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or holidays if needed.
