Pay: $25.00 to $30.00 DOE (plus shift differential)

Position Summary:

We’re hiring a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join a fast-paced food processing facility in Owasso. This 3rd shift opportunity is ideal for someone with strong troubleshooting abilities and mechanical knowledge in a manufacturing environment. The Maintenance Mechanic plays a critical role in keeping production running smoothly, ensuring equipment efficiency, and maintaining compliance with safety and sanitation standards.

Essential Functions:

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on plant equipment including conveyors, grinders, slicers, packaging machines, refrigeration units, and other food processing machinery.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues to minimize production downtime.
• Inspect, diagnose, and replace defective parts in machinery to maintain productivity.
• Conduct maintenance on refrigeration and HVAC systems for optimal temperature control and food safety.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements (OSHA, USDA, FDA).
• Assist with installation, upgrades, and equipment modifications as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including repairs, work orders, and parts inventory.
• Work closely with production and quality assurance teams to resolve equipment-related issues.
• Train production staff in proper equipment usage and minor troubleshooting.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Requirements & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of maintenance experience in food manufacturing or meat processing.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting experience.
• Familiarity with electrical systems, PLCs, and automated machinery is a plus.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Physically able to lift 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work in cold/humid conditions.
• Must be flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays if required.
