Position Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled Machine Operator/Helper to join our Tulsa team. This position is responsible for assisting with the setup, operation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of machinery used to process coil steel into flat sheets and cut them to specific lengths for the manufacturing of steel tubes. The Machine Operator/Helper plays an essential role in ensuring quality production, supporting team operations, and maintaining safety standards in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform pre-operation checks to ensure proper equipment startup and operation.
• Assist with general labor duties in all shop areas as needed.
• Operate and monitor multiple machines during production to ensure quality and minimize unplanned stops.
• Communicate with team members and support teams to maintain continuous production and minimize wasted materials.
• Move material using forklift and overhead crane operation safely and efficiently.
• Comply with all safety and health regulations.
• Clean machinery and maintain cleanliness in the work area.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by following standardized work practices.
• The Machine Operator/Helper may also perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be detail-oriented with a strong understanding of production and plant processes.
• Ability to use precision measuring tools and perform mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Able to follow written and oral instructions and work effectively in a team.
• Capable of lifting heavy equipment, bending, standing, and walking for long periods.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including overtime, weekends, and varying shifts.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed.
• Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts and occasional hot, cold, wet, or humid conditions.
• Work environment noise levels are typically loud.
