Position Overview

The Load & Unload position is responsible for the safe and efficient handling of construction materials, including loading and unloading from trucks, pallets, or containers. The role involves maintaining organization and safety within the warehouse or on construction sites. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Loading and Unloading:

·         Material Handling: Safely load and unload construction materials from trucks, pallets, or containers.

·         Secure Transportation: Ensure that materials are properly secured and organized to prevent damage during transport.

·         Storage Management: Move materials to designated storage areas within the yard or warehouse.

Material Handling:

·         Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other lifting equipment as needed (training may be provided).

·         Organization: Maintain cleanliness and order in the loading/unloading area for efficient workflow.

·         Sorting: Assist in sorting and organizing materials to support streamlined operations.

Inventory Management:

·         Verification: Assist in checking and verifying inventory, ensuring all items are accounted for during unloading.

·         Reporting: Record and report any damages or discrepancies in received materials.

·         Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of loaded and unloaded materials and report issues to supervisors.

Safety and Compliance:

·         Protocol Adherence: Follow all safety guidelines and company policies to ensure a safe work environment.

·         PPE Usage: Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with health and safety regulations.

·         Hazard Reporting: Immediately report potential safety hazards or concerns to the supervisor.

Team Collaboration:

·         Team Support: Work closely with warehouse staff, truck drivers, and supervisors to facilitate smooth operations.

·         Additional Tasks: Assist in other warehouse duties as required.
