Job Description:

Will set up and operate layout saw equipment and machinery to cut materials according to precise measurements and layout specifications. Interpret blueprints, design plans, or technical drawings to determine the exact specifications and layout for the materials to be cut. Will handle and load raw materials onto the saw machine, ensuring they are secured properly and safely. Regularly inspects and calibrates layout saw equipment to ensure it functions correctly and perform routine maintenance tasks to keep the machinery in good working condition. Ensures that all cut materials meet the required specifications and adjust as necessary to maintain high-quality products. Maintains records and logs of materials cut, measurements, and any issues encountered during the cutting process.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience as a layout saw operator or in a related field is preferred. Knowledge of operating layout saw machinery and other relevant tools. Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with precision. Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues. Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols. Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy materials.
