Laser/Press Brake Operator

Pay: $18/hr.

Hours: Monday-Thursday 6AM-4:30PM

Job Description:

Sets up and operates tools according to instructions, specifications, and standard charts. Studies work orders, and other specifications to ensure the proper setup sequence is followed. Performs other related duties as assigned.

LASER: Operates the CO2 Laser machine, loading programs using blueprints, drawings and DXF files. Must be proficient in entering information from nests necessary to run the machine. Examine finished product for conformance to quality standards. Complete work order paperwork/documentation. Sort, organize and separate parts following production orders. Maintain daily dust collector service and associated logbook in assigned area and report equipment deficiencies. Perform some machine alignment procedures and optic cleaning to keep equipment at peak operating performance. Monitoring assist and resonator gas levels and recommend supply requirements for daily production.

PRESS BRAKE: Operates a press brake to manufacture components from sheet metal or metal plates. Prepares, sets up, and adjusts press brake as required by product plans and production schedules. Ensures that there are sufficient raw materials available. Measures and aligns materials to be used.

Qualifications: Thorough understanding of mechanics and other properties of machines. Ability to follow written instructions, diagrams, and blueprints. Ability to follow proper safety protocols. Ability to determine whether machinery is working properly based on specifications for expectations such as fixtures, cutting speeds, or feed rates.
