Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Lab Assistant to support laboratory operations by receiving, logging, tracking, and preparing oil samples for analysis. The Lab Assistant will ensure accurate documentation, proper sample handling, and compliance with all safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and log oil samples into LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System)

• Maintain accurate chain-of-custody documentation

• Prepare samples for testing (labeling, mixing, aliquoting, filtering, heating as required)

• Store and dispose of samples according to procedures

• Support lab technicians with daily operations

• Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment

• Follow all safety protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma required

• Laboratory or science background preferred

• Strong attention to detail and basic computer skills

• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and stand for extended periods
