Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Instrument Fitter to join our team in an industrial manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for the installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair of instrumentation systems, ensuring precise measurements and proper system functionality. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in small bore tubing fabrication, hydraulics, high-pressure systems, and cryogenics.

Key Responsibilities

• Mount and install instruments such as pressure gauges, temperature sensors, flow meters, and control valves per engineering specifications and safety standards.
• Calibrate instrumentation to ensure accurate measurements and system functionality.
• Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs to minimize downtime.
• Maintain detailed records of installations, calibrations, maintenance activities, and modifications.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements to ensure a safe working environment.

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum five years of proven experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Experience with small bore tubing fabrication (1/4" to 1"), including hand and crank-type bending equipment.
• Proficiency in using various measuring tools (tape measures, speed squares, angle finders).
• Strong knowledge of valves, pressure regulators, and valve actuators.
• Experience with hydraulics and fabrication of flexible hydraulic assemblies.
• Hands-on experience with pump installation, alignment, high-pressure systems, and cryogenics.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
• Frequent standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying required.
• Must be comfortable working at elevated heights (up to 50 feet), including the use of ladders.

Preferred Education

• High school diploma or equivalent.
