Industrial Painter/ Blaster

Pay: $17-20/hr.

Hours:6AM-4:30PM (Will be switching to nights in the fall)

Job Description:

The Industrial Painter / Blaster will operate cleaning equipment and prepare equipment for painting, demonstrating the ability to mix and apply various types of paint systems to meet both customer and company specifications. They will operate sandblast equipment and perform masking and feathering of old paint in preparation for new applications. A thorough knowledge of required tools and maintenance care is essential. The candidate will be responsible for completing Dry Film Thickness (DFT) readings, Psychrometer readings, and Surface Temperature readings, ensuring compliance with all relevant HSSE guidelines. This role requires frequent operation of heavy equipment such as forklifts and scissor lifts, and the flexibility to work in other departments as needed.

Required Experience and Physical Demands:

• 2-5 years of related experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of forklift experience.
• Proficient in operating heavy equipment, including scissor lifts, cranes, and forklifts.
• Constantly climb stairs or ladders and maintain balance without assistance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Work in outdoor conditions, including all weather conditions and non-air-conditioned facilities.
• Maintain constant movement, including stooping, kneeling, and crouching, to perform tasks in various environments, including tight and confined spaces.
• Must wear all required PPE, including a full mask.
