Position Overview

The Industrial Painter is responsible for spray painting structural steel beams and building components in a covered outdoor production environment. This Industrial Painter role focuses on applying protective coatings to steel materials using industrial spray equipment while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.

The ideal Industrial Painter is comfortable working in PPE, including respirators and paint suits, and has experience working in industrial, manufacturing, or construction environments.

Required Experience & Skills

• Ability to wear a respirator and full paint suit for extended periods
• Must be clean shaven to maintain proper respirator seal
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Previous experience in industrial, construction, or general labor environments
• Ability to follow OSHA regulations and company safety procedures
• Strong attention to detail and reliability

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Spray paint steel beams and structural building components using industrial spray equipment
• Apply specified coatings according to production and quality standards
• Prepare surfaces properly prior to painting to ensure coating adhesion
• Maintain and properly use PPE including respirators and protective paint suits
• Assist with moving and positioning steel materials during production
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all OSHA and company safety guidelines

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience using industrial spray guns or coating equipment
• Experience working with structural steel or large metal components
• Additional manufacturing or safety certifications
