Industrial Painter

Pay: $20+/hr. (plus shift differential)

Hours: Night Shift, Monday - Thursday, 4:00 PM - 4:30 AM (Overtime as needed)

Job Brief:

We are seeking an Industrial Painter to join our team. The role involves preparing, painting, and finishing materials and piping according to job specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience in surface preparation, spraying primer and topcoat, and adhering to safety protocols, while being flexible with overtime and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

·         Prepare raw materials and piping through sanding or sandblasting, following job specifications.

·         Apply primer and topcoat to units and piping using spray techniques, ensuring quality and accuracy.

·         Prepare materials for painting with caulking, masking paper, plastic, and other necessary preparations.

·         Maintain clean and functional paint pots to produce high-quality results.

·         Clean the work area post-painting to ensure a safe and organized environment.

·         Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of hand tools and safety devices.

·         Support 5S procedures and ensure all safety policies are followed.

·         Work overtime and weekends as required, with flexibility to arrive early or stay late as needed.

·         Operate industrial-grade pressure paint pots, sprayers, and a variety of hand tools.

·         Work comfortably at heights, standing for long periods (10+ hours/day), with frequent stooping and kneeling.

·         Lift and maneuver up to 75 lbs. unassisted using proper safety techniques.

Skills Required:

·         Proven experience in industrial painting, including surface preparation and spray painting techniques.

·         Familiarity with hand tools (both powered and manual) and industrial painting equipment.

·         Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks like lifting, stooping, and kneeling.

·         Sufficient visual acuity and depth perception to perform detailed painting tasks.

·         Comfortable working in a shop environment with exposure to confined spaces and industrial manufacturing.

·         Strong commitment to safety protocols and the ability to apply appropriate safety equipment.

·         Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
