Job Overview
The Hydro Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling, testing, and inspecting hydraulic components and systems according to specifications, blueprints, and work instructions. This Hydro Assembly role supports production goals by ensuring hydraulic assemblies meet quality, safety, and performance standards. The Hydro Assembly position is ideal for mechanically inclined individuals with attention to detail and interest in hydraulic systems.
Qualifications
• Previous experience in hydraulic assembly or mechanical assembly preferred
• Basic understanding of hydraulic systems and components
• Ability to read basic blueprints or technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Willingness to learn and follow standardized processes
Key Responsibilities
The Hydro Assembly role includes the following duties:
• Assemble hydraulic components and systems, including hoses, fittings, valves, pumps, and cylinders
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and assembly instructions
• Perform pressure testing and functional testing on hydraulic assemblies
• Inspect parts and completed assemblies for quality and accuracy
• Troubleshoot and correct assembly issues as needed
• Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment safely and effectively
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety standards
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
• Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding production status or issues
Work Environment
• Manufacturing or production floor
• May involve exposure to oils, fluids, noise, and moving equipment
• Use of PPE as required
