Header Sub Arc/Lance Operator

Compensation: Starting at $24+/hr, based on experience
Schedule: Night shift, 5:00 PM - 3:30 AM, with potential overtime. Day shift, 6 AM - 4:30 PM.

Weld Test Requirements:

• 1G SAW Plate Sub-Arc and 2G Plate Test
• Minimum of 3 years of experience

Position Overview:
We’re seeking a skilled Header Sub Arc/Lance Operator to join a growing team in Catoosa. This role focuses on welding trunnions to headers and positioning them with crane equipment. Ideal candidates will have strong attention to detail and proficiency in sub-arc welding techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate welding equipment to meet specifications
• Align electrodes, load and thread electrode wire, and maintain flux hoppers
• Monitor welds for quality and ensure compliance with specifications
• Visually inspect and assess welds for accuracy and durability
• Adjust machine setups as necessary to achieve optimal performance
• Preheat workpieces, remove slag and spatter, and perform repairs using a carbon arc gouger
