Position Overview – Header Fitter/Welder

We are seeking an experienced Header Fitter/Welder for a DIRECT HIRE opportunity offering up to $33/hr and a $500 Sign-On Bonus (paid after 60 days). The Header Fitter/Welder role requires strong blueprint reading skills, advanced welding capabilities, and the ability to assemble header components with precision and safety.

Required Weld Test – Header Fitter/Welder

• 2G Double-Bevel TIG Weld Test with Backing Plate
• Must pass 100% X-Ray

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints for accurate layout and fabrication
• Fit and weld fabricated and forged components to assemble header components
• Utilize SMAW, GMAW, and/or GTAW processes as required
• Position, align, fit, and tack components using correct welding procedures
• Use hammers, wedges, drift pins, and fitting tools
• Proficient with cutting torch and/or plasma cutter
• Maintain accurate production records as required by management
• Follow all safety and quality procedures

Required Experience & Skills

• Proven experience as a Header Fitter/Welder in a manufacturing or fabrication setting
• Ability to pass all required weld testing
• Strong blueprint reading and layout skills
• Skilled in TIG, MIG, and Stick welding processes
• Proficiency with cutting tools and fabrication equipment
• Ability to work safely and efficiently with minimal supervision

Shift Options

• Monday–Friday: 5:00 PM – 3:30 AM
• Weekend 1st Shift: Friday–Sunday, 5:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Weekend 2nd Shift: Friday–Sunday, 5:00 PM – 5:30 AM
