Job Description:

The Header fitter welder must be proficient in blueprint reading for layout and skilled in various welding techniques, including Shielded Metal Arc Welding, Gas Metal Arc Welding, and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding. Responsibilities include correctly fitting and welding components, setting up welding equipment, using hammers, wedges, and drift pins, grinding rough edges, positioning workpieces manually or with cranes, and straightening warped parts. Proficiency with cutting torches, plasma cutters, and measuring devices such as tape measures, squares, and levels is required. The candidate must maintain production records, demonstrate regular attendance and punctuality, work on-site and overtime as needed, and cooperate effectively with others in a fast-paced environment. Respectful interaction with the public, customers, vendors, employees, and management is essential.
