Position Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Header Bay Supervisor for a full-time, night shift position in Catoosa, OK. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding operations, particularly in boxed header manufacturing, and be capable of supervising production teams in a high-paced manufacturing environment.
Requirements
• 5–7 years of direct supervisory experience in the welding of boxed headers
• 2–5 years of hands-on experience operating MIG, TIG, and/or SAW welding equipment
Key Responsibilities
• Lead manufacturing teams and suppliers in the construction of boxed headers and assembly of bundles for air-cooled heat exchangers
• Assist in creating and managing production schedules across both shops
• Monitor and control job costs; analyze performance and take corrective action as needed
• Visit subcontractor suppliers to verify quality, cost, and delivery expectations
• Uphold core values of Safety, Quality, Schedule, and Value; enforce compliance with company policies
• Ensure all facility equipment and materials are adequate to support operations
• Direct and manage shop personnel and supervisory staff
• Optimize staffing levels to balance workload and minimize overtime
• Maintain close communication with Engineering, Purchasing, and Project Management to ensure timely and cost-effective job completion
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• In-depth understanding of ASME Section VIII Division 1 standards and hydrotest procedures
• Strong working knowledge of welding techniques and metallurgical considerations for boxed header manufacturing
• Ability to implement efficient methods for header and bundle production
• Competent in reading blueprints, specifications, and interpreting WPS and PQR documentation
• Proven leadership skills in managing and motivating production teams
• Effective coordination with suppliers to maintain uninterrupted material flow
• Capable of planning and setting up workflow for boxed header and bundle assembly
• Familiarity with ERP systems for scheduling, BOM management, and job tracking
• Strong collaboration skills with Sales, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, and Customers
• Ability to monitor and manage job cost metrics with confidence and accuracy
