Food Safety QA Supervisor

Pay: $58,000 – $63,800/year
Location: Owasso, OK
Shift: 2nd Shift, 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM (with OT as needed)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Safety QA Supervisor to support the management of food safety and quality systems. The Food Safety QA Supervisor will ensure compliance with FSIS-USDA, GFSI, HACCP, and company standards. As a Food Safety QA Supervisor, you will oversee audits, records review, training, and regulatory requirements while providing leadership and technical expertise to the QA team.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as backup to the FSQA Manager and Lead for HACCP, SSOP, and food safety documentation
  • Perform daily record reviews and monitor food safety and quality records
  • Work closely with FSIS and USDA representatives on regulatory issues
  • Lead HACCP team meetings and maintain HACCP, SSOP, and related food safety plans
  • Support BRC program documentation, audits, and compliance
  • Provide leadership, training, and accountability for FSQA technicians
  • Manage microbiological testing programs, including sample collection and COA preparation
  • Conduct investigations for HACCP deviations, foreign objects, and non-conformities
  • Place and release non-conforming products as required
  • Support internal, customer, and GFSI audits
  • Oversee pest control program and ensure housekeeping and hygiene standards are met
  • Maintain accurate records, trend analysis, and data reporting in Excel
  • Support training for employees on food safety and quality programs
  • Perform Pre-Op inspections, walkthroughs, and traceability exercises
  • Communicate with FSQA staff, operations, and USDA personnel to ensure compliance

Required Qualifications

  • B.S. Degree in Animal Science, Food Science, or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of Quality Assurance and Food Safety experience in meat or value-added food processing
  • 2+ years of leadership experience in QA/Food Safety roles
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and SSOP programs
  • HACCP Certified (within 180 days of hire)
  • GFSI/BRC Certification (within 1 year of hire)
  • Excellent English communication skills; Spanish a plus
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and leadership abilities
