Position Overview

Stand-By Personnel is hiring an experienced Fitter Welder (Stainless) for an industrial equipment manufacturer in Sand Springs. The Fitter Welder (Stainless) will perform high-quality welding, fitting, and fabrication work using MIG welding on stainless steel components. This position requires precise craftsmanship, a strong understanding of blueprints, and the ability to perform 3G welds to strict specifications.

Test Details

Required Test: 3G Stainless Weld Test — MIG all the way out, 3/8"thick plate.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and detailed fabrication instructions.
• Perform MIG welding on stainless steel components to meet quality and dimensional standards.
• Use measuring tools such as levels, protractors, and tape measures for accurate fitting and alignment.
• Verify part dimensions and ensure proper fit before welding.
• Inspect finished welds for accuracy and compliance with company and industry standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety procedures.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure production efficiency.

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of experience welding stainless steel in a fabrication or industrial setting.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong math skills for layout and fit-up work.
• Experience with MIG welding processes on stainless materials.
• Proficient in the use of hand and power tools required for fitting and assembly.
• Safety-conscious and reliable, with excellent attention to detail.
