Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Fitter/Welder to support steel fabrication operations in a production environment. This role involves laying out, fitting, and completing welds while following all safety practices and quality standards.

The Fitter/Welder will work with jigs, fixtures, and measuring tools to ensure parts are accurately positioned and welded to specification.

Weld Test Requirement

• 2G Plate Test — Flux Core fill and cap

Key Responsibilities

• Observe and follow all standard safety practices and company safety rules
• Lay out and cut material for final product
• Fit and complete final welds, including multi-pass welds
• Lay out and mark weld points on parts
• Position pieces to be welded into jigs, fixtures, guides, and steps using measuring instruments and hand tools
• Maintain and complete required records
• Participate in safety committees or safety initiatives
• Assist with training other employees on new tasks as needed
• Perform other duties as required

Required Qualifications

• Ability to pass the required 2G Flux Core weld test
• Experience fitting and welding structural steel components
• Strong understanding of shop safety practices
• Ability to use measuring instruments and hand tools
• Reliable attendance and professional work ethic
