Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Fiber Laser Operator to support production operations in a fabrication environment using high-wattage laser equipment. This role focuses on running, fine-tuning, and maintaining cut quality while producing accurate parts across a variety of materials.

The Fiber Laser Operator will take ownership of fiber laser cutting operations, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and adherence to production deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and set up a 20kW Bescutter fiber laser cutting machine
• Dial in and adjust cut parameters including speed, power, gas, and focus
• Read and interpret prints, cut sheets, and nesting files
• Load and unload materials and finished parts safely and efficiently
• Monitor cut quality and make real-time adjustments as needed
• Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Work closely with shop leadership and production teams to meet deadlines

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of fiber laser operating experience
• Strong knowledge of steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other metals
• Proven ability to dial in cut parameters for quality and efficiency
• Ability to read a tape measure and blueprints
• Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail
• Reliable, safety-focused, and production-minded

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with high-wattage fiber lasers (10kW–20kW)
• Familiarity with Bescutter controls or similar systems
• Prior experience in a shop or fabrication environment
