Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Facility Maintenance Technician to join a school operations team in Tulsa. This position is responsible for ensuring a safe, clean, and fully functional environment for students, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have a background in general building maintenance, strong troubleshooting abilities, and the ability to work independently on a variety of repair and upkeep tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry systems.

·         Conduct daily inspections to ensure facilities are clean, safe, and ready for use.

·         Respond promptly to maintenance service requests and emergency issues.

·         Maintain and repair classroom furniture, fixtures, windows, doors, and flooring.

·         Support school events by setting up and breaking down equipment and furniture.

·         Monitor heating/cooling systems, security, and fire safety equipment.

·         Collaborate with custodial and administrative staff to prioritize and complete work orders.

·         Track supply inventory and request materials as needed.

·         Ensure all work complies with local codes, safety standards, and school policies.

Qualifications:

·         High school diploma or equivalent (technical/vocational training preferred).

·         2+ years of experience in facilities maintenance or a similar field.

·         Working knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and building infrastructure.

·         Proficient with hand and power tools.

·         Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

·         Excellent time management and organizational skills.

·         Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

·         Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform physical labor.
