Pay Rate: $16.00 - $18.00/hr
Shift: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Monday-Thursday), 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (Friday & Saturday)
Hours: 56 Hours Per Week
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Fabricator to join our team in Oklahoma City. The ideal candidate will be responsible for organizing, maintaining, and locating raw materials within the fabrication and weld shop, ensuring adherence to the production schedule and Bill of Materials (BOM). This role requires expertise in reading blueprints and manufacturing instructions, along with the ability to operate various fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
· Material Handling & Organization:
o Maintain and organize raw materials based on the production schedule and BOM.
o Verify correct materials are used in accordance with specifications.
· Equipment Operation:
o Safely operate fabrication equipment, including brake presses, band saws, plasma tables, and blast booths.
o Operate hand and power tools proficiently and safely.
· Blueprint Interpretation:
o Read and comprehend blueprints, manufacturing instructions, and BOMs accurately.
o Ensure precision when measuring materials, with the ability to read tape measures up to 1/16 inch and convert measurements to decimals (e.g., .0625).
· Tank Preparation:
o Assist in pressure testing and preparing tanks for painting.
· Safety & Compliance:
o Operate cranes, pallet jacks, and forklifts safely to move materials as needed.
o Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
· Team Collaboration:
o Work effectively in a team-oriented environment with a positive and proactive attitude.
o Take initiative in assisting with additional tasks and responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications:
· Experience & Skills:
o Minimum of three (3) years of relevant fabrication experience and/or training preferred.
o Ability to perform all essential duties satisfactorily with minimal supervision.
o Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
· Education:
o High school diploma or GED required.
· Compliance Requirements:
o Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical.
o Must successfully complete a nationwide criminal background check.
