Job Title: Fabrication Technician
Job Type: Contract – 6 Months
Location: Broken Arrow, OK
Pay Rate: $14/hour
Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM (hours may vary due to company needs)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fabrication Technician to join our team. This role involves setting up and operating conventional, special-purpose, and CNC machines to fabricate metal and nonmetal parts. The position also includes sheet metal fabrication, assembly, and troubleshooting in a dynamic production environment.

Key Responsibilities

·         Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions on materials for machining.

·         Select and secure tools, fixtures, and materials for machining operations.

·         Calculate and set controls to regulate factors such as speed, feed, coolant, and cutting depth.

·         Monitor machine operations and make adjustments to correct deviations or malfunctions.

·         Plan sequence of operations and develop layouts.

·         Cut, bend, grind, and shape metal using a variety of tools and machines.

·         Preheat and position components, then align, fit, and weld parts as required.

·         Fabricate, assemble, and verify conformance of sheet metal products.

·         Conduct trial runs on machinery to ensure proper setup.

·         Assemble components into finished products, ensuring proper dimensions and alignment.

·         Replace and test machined parts and assemblies in operational settings.

·         Operate welding equipment and other fabrication shop tools.

·         Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve issues and ensure quality.

Skills & Qualifications

·         Proficiency with Microsoft Office, basic AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and CNC programming.

·         Familiarity with drill presses, brakes, cut-off saws, water jets, and CNC press brakes.

·         Ability to use precision measuring instruments.

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

·         Strong mathematical skills including geometry, trigonometry, and statistical concepts.

·         Ability to interpret technical documents, blueprints, diagrams, and written or oral instructions.

·         Demonstrated problem-solving skills in non-standardized situations.

Physical Requirements

·         Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs, frequently up to 25 lbs, and occasionally up to 50 lbs.

·         Must possess good peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

·         Work environment includes moderate noise levels and requires alertness and adherence to safety protocols.
