Environmental/Employee Health, Safety, and Training Manager

Pay: $65,000–$75,000/year
Location: North of Tulsa, OK
Job Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Environmental/Employee Health, Safety, and Training Manager to lead our EHS and employee training programs. The Environmental/Employee Health, Safety, and Training Manager will dedicate 50% of their time to training initiatives and 50% to environmental, health, and safety oversight. This role ensures compliance with OSHA, EPA, and ODEQ standards while developing a safe, well-trained, and compliant workforce.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience in Health & Safety, EHS, or Occupational Health (including accident investigation)

  • Experience in aerospace or manufacturing environments preferred

  • Relevant certifications (CSP, CIH) a plus

  • Strong training program development and delivery experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety preferred; 5–10 years equivalent experience may substitute

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or in teams

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Environmental Health and Safety

  • Deliver OSHA 29 CFR safety training (onboarding, HAZMAT, PPE, hazard communication)

  • Coordinate with ODEQ for permitting, SWPPP, and compliance training

  • Manage hazardous material manifests and coordinate disposal with suppliers

  • Assist with ISO 45001 Safety Management Program implementation

  • Conduct scheduled facility safety audits and enforce PPE compliance

  • Lead accident, incident, and near-miss reporting/investigations

  • Oversee SARA Tier II and EPA Form R annual reporting requirements

  • Maintain SDS and Right-to-Know programs for all chemicals

Employee Health, Safety, and Training

  • Manage company-wide employee training program and maintain training matrix

  • Partner with managers to develop recurrent training plans

  • Deliver OSHA-required training and other initiatives

  • Develop training materials, coordinate schedules, and track completion

  • Reinforce a culture of safety and continuous learning across all teams

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Ability to work in both office and production environments

  • May involve walking, standing, and moderate physical activity

  • Work environment includes aerospace/manufacturing conditions, with noise, chemicals, and industrial exposure
